Off My Chest

Some things you cannot say to anyone. Finding someone to listen is work in itself, and writing it down somewhere means it stays.

Off My Chest is a three-step ritual you do once a day.

STEP 1

Let it go

Write down the thing you cannot tell anyone. That worry is never stored. Five minutes later a notification arrives: your worry is gone.

Those five minutes are the whole app. The relief does not come from writing it. It comes from seeing that it is gone.

STEP 2

A letter to yourself

Write to the person you will be in a week. It arrives in exactly seven days.

Chances are that person is doing a little better than you are right now.

STEP 3

Fill the space

One quote appears. No lectures, no forced cheerfulness — only lines that sit beside you.

A line you have seen does not come back for a long while.

LETTERS

Seven days later, a letter from yourself

Letters that have arrived collect here, encrypted and kept on this phone alone. You can lock them behind a passcode and open them with your fingerprint or face. You can export everything to a single file and load it back.

For the first few days after you install, a letter arrives each day. They do not try to comfort you. They only ask how you are.
